Troop Ranks

The Elks have a long standing relationship with both the Girls Scouts and Boy Scouts, including the Cubs. Henderson/Green Valley Elks supports Troop xxx4. The Troop consist of approximately xx boys and xx fully trained adults. Throughout the year we work with the Troop in a number of functions. The Blue and Gold dinner, the Flag Day Cerenony and the Flag Retirement Ceremony to name a few. We contribute in both time and money each year affording us a very rewarding partnership.

Flag Retirement Ceremony

The Flag Retirement Ceremony is performed annually with the greatest respect by both the Scouts and the Officers of Henderson/Green valley Lodge. At the conclusion of the Elks ceremony the Scouts prepare to deliver the Flags for retirement. The Colors are presented with solemn respect they deserve. The Scouts then perform the proper disposal of the service worn Flags. This is one of the most moving ceremonies to be performed. For the next scheduled Flag Retirement Ceremony please check the Lodge calendar.
